Betty groaned and leaned back against the shiny red seat. “I know. I know what you’re going to say.”
“Do you? Do you really? Because it doesn't seem to have absorbed into that genius brain I know you have hiding up there. You and Jughead broke up two years ago, B. This. Is. Not. Healthy.”
Betty was instantly defensive. “It was an accident.”
“It always is.” Kevin rolled his eyes.
“I didn’t mean to… he was looking for water in the kitchen last night and he had no shirt on and his hair was all messed up and it just kind of… happened.”
“Betty, please, no one accidentally falls onto their ex boyfriend’s penis.”
“Kev!”

Summary
An impromptu wedding-planning session goes awry when Jughead and Dagwood go missing from Pop’s. Fortunately, the incompetent kidnappers leave a trail of crumbs a mile wide, so it’s now up to Veronica, Betty, Juniper, and Kevin to follow the clues and rescue their friends. A surprise encounter near the end of the journey leaves everyone befuddled.
This was written for the Riverdale Promptathon, Week Seven. The following prompts make an appearance: Hopeful; Black; Meditation. This story takes place after the events of the first six in the series. I don't think it's essential to read them first, although there are some references to those events.
