Altea City is in danger. An evil organization, the Galra, is threatening to take over. A secret group called the Blades of Marmora is working hard to defend the city, but it’s not enough.
Enter Voltron.
Allura has always been regaled by tales of knights, noble warriors who fought to defend and protect.
So even when her city is being corrupted, and her father, Altea’s governor, mysteriously disappears, she refuses to believe that chivalry is dead.
Allura decides to form her own group of modern-day knights- superheroes
With the help of five mystical lions, saving Altea doesn’t seem so impossible.
She just has to find her heroes.

"She's not a paladin," the girl surmises, squinting as though to telepathically glean a greeting from Krolia.
Keith pets her head, smile growing strained. "That's Krolia, Mizzi. She was with you before I got there, remember?"
"Ooooh," Mizzi hums. "Your work friend, right?"
The low chatter in the cockpit stutters to a halt, and Keith wonders if he's imagining that Krolia's grip tightens on the controls.
Krolia doesn't know how to deal with kids, and Keith does. He really shouldn't be surprised by this fact, but he is.

Lance REALLY knew how to cook. Of course he would, and Keith should have known better when he started dating someone that constantly watched his mother in the kitchen as a child. Having Hunk as a best friend certainly didn't help. Not that Keith was complaining, no sirree.

Keith had always been an absolute unit during their relationship. He'd been pretty much solid muscle, while still managing to pack some thick thighs and ample ass, but then his time in the Quantum Abyss aged him enough to have another growth spurt. Lance had gotten a little taller since then too, but it wasn't enough to put them back at the same level as before. Being taller and now having love handles, there was MUCH more of Keith for Lance to appreciate.

Red had been alone for 10,000 years, wandering in search of home before eventually locking herself away in a cave on a no name planet where she’d later be found by the Galra Empire.
When both their flames are about to go out, with only embers remaining they find each other to keep their flames alight.

Then I’ll get arrested for assault and you’ll have to visit me in prison and my cellmate will make a comment about you or something and I’ll have to kill him and then I’ll get retried and the death sentence, probably, and then Red will bust me out of prison and cause intergalactic meltdowns and —”
Lance can’t hold back anymore. Quick as a dart he reaches out, fisting Keith’s collar, and yanks him over the gearshift, kissing him softly and soundly until Keith sighs, surprise fading into something calmer, relaxed. His hand comes up to cup Lance’s cheek.
“You need a Xanax,” Lance says gently as he pulls away.

“Isn’t it strange that she called me for — for leadership advice?” he questions finally, turning to face Lance. “I mean, I stumbled through every day as leader. Shiro was more of a natural. Hell, you’re better with pep talks, Mr. The Black Lion Chose You And I Trust Its Judgement.”
The set up is there. Lance could spell it out for him now, gently explain what he’s observed over the years, what he knows to be true — Keith, even though he refuses to admit it or even let himself notice, is the cornerstone of their family, the one who grew up with so much change so constantly that he learned to find steadiness in himself.
But that’s a longer conversation. That’s a quiet conversation, for when Lance can give his husband his full attention, when they can face each other and be honest and work through the inevitable pain of Keith accepting that as truth. Not when Lance is driving, and their kids are in the back, very obviously listening in at this point.
“Oh, come on, Fearless Leader,” Lance teases. “She knew she needed a nice, cheesy metaphor to set her head on straight, isn’t it obvious?”
