Daniel "Danny" Russo is an exceptionally fucked up kid.
By 10, he had his first taste of alcohol, by 11, he had his first cigarette, and by 12, he had finally stopped caring about just about anyone or anything.
He knew his mother, but he never knew her, and his father dropped him at the foster care place when has 8, telling him, "You know what, Daniel? I should've told her to get rid of you when she found out."
Years later, on Danny's 14th birthday, Frank Castle, the man he considered his uncle, killed his dad. Everyone expected him to go to the funeral and grieve.
He went to the funeral in the very best suit, tie and shoes that his mother sent him, but did he grieve? No. He didn't even shed so much as a tear. In fact, he had to hide the smile on his face.
But after so long, he hits the lowest of the lows. He starts writing letters to everyone in his life. Some were love letters, some were regular old letters, but most were just 'fuck you' letters to his family, or more specifically, his dad.
His family found and read them, and now you get to read them, too.
