Summary
Peter Parker was dead that day the sky was torn and the magic circled above him. He traded all he knew, all he was, to continue on as Spider Man. Dr. Strange told him that it was dangerous, but he was done putting those he cared about in danger. He wanted MJ and Ned to go to college, to be happy. For that to happen, Peter Parker ceased to exist.
One act of mercy later, and Peter opened his eyes to a sea of green and blind panic. He escaped, but he had no idea where he was or why he looked so different. Unbeknownst to either Peter Parker or Dick Grayson, Peter now wore a strange mix of his and someone else’s face.

The fear washed over him for a fraction of second, and then, that's when his hears caught up the sound of the materia breaking itself behind him, the sound of air suddenly moving from one place to another to make a hole for his existence, and then, the unconsciousness was the new feeling that trapped him and comforted him from the previus fear and panic of falling from a rooftop.
Peter froze as he saw his versions there, just with the slight diference of a small handful of their hair right at their foreheads, which seemed to have been dyed by the snow, being a pure white that he didn't remember they haved the last time he saw them, flooting in the green water like he was doing just moments ago.
"And i'm glad to have you guys back." He mumbled in quite a tired sigh. He wans't alone, not anymore, and he haved people that not only knowed him, but that haved almost the same life like him, people that completly understand him, his ways and emotions, and that feeling was the most close to feeling like being back at home.

Peter thought he died. He should've. But then again when he wakes up on a cargo ship, alone in a cage- he starts to rethink if actually did die. It soon becomes clear that either way if this was reincarnation, dimension travel or anything else- he was stuck here now. Stuck in this new, strangely bleak city called Gotham.
He has gone through a lot recently; dying, getting thrown into another universe, being homeless for a bit etc etc. So when he loses his coffee on the sidewalk to a very polite man who just so happens to be a butler, how was Peter supposed to know it would change the entire trajectory of his new life?
Yet strangely enough, he wouldn't have changed it for anything.

Fingers knotting tight in the back of his shirt collar, a brutal grip that doesn’t hesitate. The body attached leans into the wreck, shadow blotting out what little light trickles through. And then Tim’s being dragged, no—yanked out in one vicious pull.
The seatbelt resists for a single heartbeat, stretching to its limit before snapping with a violent crack. His body whips free, hauled out into the open air, and the sudden shift rips the last dregs of his balance away.
He retches before he even hits the pavement. Everything lurches up, acid burning his throat, stomach wrenching itself inside out. His knees buckle, body folding gracelessly, head spinning so hard he can barely keep track of which way is up.

Heat
Thick. Living. Swallowing him whole.
He couldn't breathe.
Something pulled at his lungs. His eyes shot open, and all he saw was green. Blinding, burning green, sloshing around him like a heartbeat. Every inch of him felt like it was on fire.
He didn’t know which way was up.
His arms moved. Legs kicked. His body thrashed with one command surging through every nerve:
Get out.
His hands found something, and he pushed with all his strength.
Then, suddenly, air.
He collapsed forward, coughing out something thick and sour. Not water. Not blood.
The floor was metal. Cold. And beneath that, there were voices.
The world tilted.
Pain bloomed sharply behind his eyes, and then he remembered
He died

Spider-Man is dead.At least, Peter was until he woke up in a Lazarus Pit with no memory of how he got there, no legal identity, and his sister Clara dragging him through back alleys in a city they don't recognize.
Gotham is cold and unfamiliar. The city is shifting. And something bigger is coming.
