Summary
A Nuclear winter is blowing in from the northwest, a storm the mojave hasn't witnessed in over a decade.
Archer Caddel, the Courier, has worked to prepare the legion for said weather and is tasked to retrieve medicine for an illness that suddenly plagues the camp. He plans on handling the task alone, only for that plan to be thrown to the wind when he discovers a desert fox following him.
This work is an exploration of their dynamic, as well as the hardships that winter brings and how it effects wastelanders in the desert, turning it into a tundra. :) Enjoy.

He didn't see her after her last departure from Caesar's tent and the only news he got about her was not even three hours prior as they got notified of her presence on Lucullus' boat.
In the past she didn’t seem to appreciate his presence but, he had to admit, he didn’t despite hers.
It intrigued him, how different she was from the inhabitants of the Mojave, yet similar enough to blend in perfectly everywhere, no matter how out of place she always looked.
She could be shy and nice, he saw how she caressed their dogs’ fur while giving them some of her meals or how polite she had been with Lucius, whom she seemed to get along with or, again, how she approached the slaves that served her during her permanence in the camp.Yet her coldness and detachment never escaped Vulpes' eyes, like she didn’t want to have anything to do with anybody on more than a formal level.
No matter how friendly and accommodating she looked, she kept everything and everyone at arm's length, her curious and stupid eyes hiding a brain that never ceased to analyze everything that came into her mind or a situation that presented itself before her. -

An amnesia ridden courier wakes up in Goodsprings, and remembers nothing of his past. The Mojave's two biggest factions vie to gain the courier's trust and employ. The Legion, to regain a frumentarius back into their ranks, and the NCR to get a legionnaire without the legion in him. In this vie for power, the NCR plans to gain his allegiance by any means necessary. Using a recently outed Major Knight of the Mojave Outpost, the NCR hopes to gain a strong soldier and instructor for their military by making Knight get into a relationship with said ex-legion courier. -

Summary
The Legion wins and the entire Mojave desert is at stake. Arcade and the Remnants risk their lives to smuggle wastelanders to safety on the east coast, as far away as possible from the Legion and Six's reign of terror. Arcade escorts his group to Sanctuary Hills, a rather productive settlement where the General of the Minutemen resides. He didn't intend to ask for help, but the General sort of forces it on him anyway.
Six has no regrets. Speaking to a man as wise and intelligent and manipulative as Ulysses brought several things to her attention: You've only got one life, so live it. You can do absolutely anything if you put your mind to it. The NCR had no business in the Mojave. She was determined to do the impossible- become second in command of Caesar's Legion. Several mundane tasks later, such as destroying the Brotherhood, removing Caesar's brain tumor, assassinating the NCR president, et cetera, and she'd done it. Caesar was wrapped around her finger, and for the most part, the Mojave was hers. She was going to rule Vegas like the tyrant she'd become.
