This is a fun little challenge I did with my good friend Unicorn Machine. We challenged each other to write a one shot with the theme of them being shackled or bound together.
Started as a small idea, and it took root. Now it's growing into some unknown plant. Okay enough with the plant metaphors.
'Fionna and Marshall find themselves shackled together in a mysterious place. The only way out is to break some serious boundaries in their friendship. How will their friendship survive, or evolve after this incident? And why is someone trying so hard to bring them together?'

This is a Marshall Lee x Prince Bubblegum alternate universe story where they're both in college. At first, Bubblegum hates him (naturally.) And then, he doesn't.
This story is told through journal entries and uses past-tense verbiage. The journal entry portions are in first person, but the story flashbacks are in the third - memory style.
It's a slow burn, so no smut in the beginning; but later on, who's to say what will happen.
