“Of me?” Scott laughed. It was a low, almost unhappy sound, yet lacked the showmanship characteristic of most of his speech.
“Power hungry,” said Owen, without any hesitation this time. “Ambitious, prideful—with a sense of superiority and a lust to enforce it.”
“You say just the sweetest things.” Scott’s honeyed voice somehow managed to portray both amused flattery and a sharp warning.
“A pain in my ass,” Owen continued.

Summary
Vampires SMP taken into my little brain and trying to work in different ideas while trying to keep true to characterization.
Avid is a alchemist turned Vampire Hunter who is slowly becoming something he doesn't even know what is.
Scott is a 1100 year old vampire who was woken from his 600 year forced slumber and looking for entertainment.
The rest of the cast is there as well and play different roles throughout the story. This may eventually lead to a building of relationships and what not and in depth thoughts about each character as if you were someone present or able to hear thoughts of others.
I may not have much to tell you but the story will one day become the way you may enjoy, dear reader.

Avid paused at the edge of the broken bridge, his breath coming in ragged gasps. His hands trembled; he clenched them into fists, nails digging into his palms. What if they turn me away? What if I’m too weak for this? The doubts swirled like fog in his mind.
A rustle nearby snapped him from his thoughts. Avid whirled, his newly heightened senses picking up the scent of smoke and ash—familiar, yet laced with the metallic tang of blood. From the shadows emerged Pyro, his red eyes glowing faintly in the moonlight. Pyro’s expression was guarded, skeptical, as he crossed his arms over his chest. His white hair was tousled, and a faint scar marred his jaw from some recent skirmish.

After getting turned, Avid is scared of accidentally hurting his friends, so he searches for Scott.

“You have been coughing an awful lot tonight. Don't tell me you're dying on me, little hunter?”
The vampire gives him a final lick before he lets him answer, satisfied with his meal. It takes him a moment to realize Avid didn't respond with anything. Scott notices he isn't looking at him as he rises, instead having turned his head to the side. He releases his arms from the grip, the hunter barely moving, as he studies him.
"Oh, my…” “Really? That's so sad.”
Scott gives him a charming smile. “Are you sure you don't want to give being a vampire a chance, dear?"
Or... When Avid goes to meet Shelby at the obelisk, they are interrupted by a surprise guest.

Summary
After all the betrayals that day, Scott needed to consolidate his bonds with his coven properly. He knew he was at the top of the humans’ kill list, so he needed to make sure he wouldn’t be on the vampires’ one as well.
He made his first move while Pyro, Apo, and Shelby were busy talking about Truffle (the pet pig of the first two), and whether to relocate him to the castle or leave him where he was. While he didn’t trust their new recruit one bit, that conversation seemed harmless enough. Besides, vampires grew stronger with age. His hearing was sharper than theirs. He could still monitor them, even if he moved somewhere more private to chat with Owen.
