Summary
Joseph Montgomery was plagued by living in a small town in Georgia, but when they are marked to be a Vampire. When they changed their name to Zoe Redbird and move into the House of Night, will they allow themself to be their true selves? They are encouraged by their friends and the goddess Nyx. Aside from that Zoe is tasked with finding out the bad seed that is upsetting the goddess so much, rewarded with a blessing through their vampire marks.

Summary
I mean I think the title is a pretty accurate summary really. This is another one of my Creative Writing finals, from January 2023. I personally think my Ebony Dark'ness Dimentia Raven Way Limbus Company fanfic is better, but I felt like I'd be doing the world a disservice if I didn't post this.

Summary
The scene in Neferet's office where Zoey talks about the step-loser, but reflective of Neferet's later series backstory (ie: the one alluded to/referenced in Awakened and later/in Neferet's Curse) and also without the weird oversharing that later-series Neferet doesn't do.
"It's going to be okay," Neferet assured her, "he won't hurt you. I understand what family can be capable of.” Zoey wondered what Neferet thought she was talking about, to warrant the look on her face, and the dark eyes, and the bruise on her hand that she didn't even seem to notice. Somehow, it didn't seem like a normal reaction to hearing about a lame, vaguely authoritarian step parent who moved in and turned the house into a failed theocracy with his holier-than-thou crap..

Summary
When 16 year old Zoey Montgomery is Marked as a fledgling vampyer her problems go from worrying about her upcoming geometry exam to how she can fit in at her new vampyer boarding school. As if a new school isn't hard enough she is given the gift of all five elements and the task to return balance between Light and Dark, as per her Goddess Nyx commanded. Zoey never realized that becoming a fledgling meant becoming a hero.
