He looks…. A bit different. Taller than hero, definitely. Mari says maybe things can go back to how they used to be. Aubrey doubts that. she’s was more interested in the shadow following her around, why it tugs at her hair, why it whispers to her, and why it seems like Basil can see it too.

Summary
Sunny collapsed onto OMORI in an odd hug. OMORI dropped his knife, and faded away, all that was left of him was a pool of black tar on the floor of WHITESPACE.
What was left of OMORI wouldn't go down without a fight. It lunged at Sunny and enveloped his ankles. It worked its way up his legs and stomach as Sunny tried to fight it off.
It reached his face, covering it to suffocate him. Just as Sunny's consciousness began to fade, the stir of tar around Sunny was abruptly stopped as a familiar warm hand grabs his hand and pulls him out of the tar into a hug, Mari.
