Miles Edgeworth has spent his whole life killing monsters. This monster, the elusive phoenix, however, he's supposed to bring home alive. Beyond that, he's certain it doesn't even exist. Except- of course- it does exist, and it is perhaps the most annoying and most repulsive thing Edgeworth has ever met.
Yet- perhaps also the sweetest. Edgeworth just can't find it in himself to admit that, yet.

Edgeworth is a depressed mess. He's been taught to hide his feelings, but after his trauma of dl-6, only a portion of his trauma, was exposed to the world during Turnabout Goodbyes, and his abuser, Manfred Von Karma, went to jail because he was the true culprit of DL-6. He's now saddled with unnecessary feelings, but luckily Franziska, his "big" sister, and Maya, His crushes best friend, are there to support him. -

He gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles blanched, before resting his forehead atop his hands. It was ridiculous, perhaps, to compare the two situations, but that didn’t stop the regret from gnawing at his insides. There had been so many times where Phoenix likely needed support or comfort, only to be left entirely to his own devices. There had also been so many times where he had needed support, only for Phoenix to swoop in without an ounce of hesitation.
It was just as the very morning showed, his beloved sunflower sticking out even in the low light. That man made his life easier—wasn’t it about time he did the same for him?
When Phoenix falls ill, Miles sees the perfect opportunity to repay all the love and care from previous years.
