Zoey fidgeted with her fingers, biting her lip. “I dont want us to end, Mira.”
The pink haired girl sat quietly, watching Zoey’s slightly panicked figure. Mira sighed, placing her hand on Zoey’s lap. “Look, Zoey. We’ve been together for two years. A monogamous relationship.” She continued, her words slowing down. “We could be polyamorous.” She whispered.
Zoey’s eyes widened. “Huh?”
“Look, Zoey. I love you. You’ve made me realize things about myself. That I’m never alone and I always have someone to reach to.” Mira inhaled, restless. “You—you bring out my true emotions. After not expressing myself for most of my life, you help me learn.”
“But,” She started. “I just want to hold her. To make her feel safe. To watch her sleep in my arms. She’s beautiful. Stupidly beautiful. Indescribable even. I just.. can’t.”
Mira looked at Zoey with pleading eyes. “Please.”
“Say something.” Mira breathed out, worried for everything.
The silence continued for an uncomfortable amount of time. Zoey looked up at Mira and smiled. “Okay.”

“Rumi!”
The maknae maneuvers around the counter and runs up to Rumi, nearly knocking the taller woman down as she runs into her, wrapping her arms tightly around her.
Rumi tenses at first, finding the physical contact foreign. She hasn't been hugged—besides from last night—for a long time. With the exception of what happened in the limo, she can't remember the last time she was in this situation. The closest one was when Jinu grabbed her in the bathhouse but that wasn't really a hug. Even Celine wouldn't hug her when she begged for her to do what she should have done.
Rumi slowly relaxes into it, bringing her arms up to take Zoey into her arms. The more she relaxes, the more comforting the hug feels.
“I love you so much, Rumi. I'm sorry about everything. I want you to know how much you mean to me, to us.”
The tears that were threatening in her eyes now come pouring out of her as she squeezes Zoey so hard she squeaks.
Zoey squeezes her back tighter and Rumi realizes she does in fact like hugs, at least from Zoey. She rarely experienced it before and whenever she did, she was too worried about her patterns to enjoy it. But now? She wants to keep Zoey in her arms forever.

Rumi knew she was a girl early on. Despite telling her to hide her demon side, Celine was accepting of Rumi's gender identity. By the time Celine started searching for other girls to form the next generation of demon hunters, Rumi had been living totally stealth and passing herself off as cis with ease. Her new companions Mira and Zoey are trans too - it was Celine's idea to find trans women like her so they would better understand each other. Only problem is... Rumi doesn't know how to tell her new friends that she's not cis like they thought. How can she tell them something she's been lying about just as long as she's hidden her demonic heritage? How will she mend the bridge with Celine after her patterns are no longer a secret?
