Summary
Every time Mu Qing was born after his first life, he had the same given name.
He had been Qiu Qing, Jin Qing, Sheng Qing, Hua Qing, Lai Qing and one particular time, he had even been Feng Qing. He has had countless different origins and lives, countless mothers and fathers and a myriad of sisters and brothers and yet, in any life of his, Feng Xin would find him and kill him. Sometimes, he would be kind, gentle as if scared that Mu Qing’s soul would not survive the kill ; mostly, he was violent.
Cursed to remember his previous incarnations and to always end up killed at the hands of Feng Xin who was his lover in his first life (or at least the first one he remembers), Mu Qing tries to hope for the best. Mostly, he just lets his soul be anchored to Feng Xin's existence.

Feng Xin’s sordid actions led him to the obvious conclusion: his boyfriend is cheating.

Feng Xin makes tea in the morning for two because he accidentally makes too much and does not want to waste it. Feng Xin walks him to class but that’s just because his building is near, he also picks Mu Qing up from class because his is over at the same time. Feng Xin taking Mu Qing out after to grab lunch or dinner is only because he’s hungry and Mu Qing’s the only person available to accompany him. When Feng Xin introduced Mu Qing to his friends, the slight jabs, the teasing they/he received and stares at both of them meant nothing, right?
Mu Qing overworks finishing his final assessment, Feng Xin worries. Feelings threaten to spill and the heart wins.

He was speaking to everyone but Mu Qing!
What made it worse, is finding him and fucking Shi Qingxuan whispering to each other while everyone ate, as the two were sitting next to one other - because Feng Xin hadn’t even SAT NEXT to Mu Qing! Shi Qingxuan giggled at whatever the fuck Feng Xin had whispered, covering their mouth with their hand before clapping excitedly.
