The first time Ghost met Soap, he fucking hated him. Why did they need a sergeant when they had him? He's just as smart, talented, fast and tactical. He decided to keep the peace but he couldn't get over the fact he assumed Price thought he wasn't strong enough to lead his team of men. Either way, Ghost wanted to show this new guy who was in charge.
A few months in, they would spar, Johnny and Simon, taking their issues out on each other, not realising how flirty they were being, as much as they ‘hated’ each other, the other soldiers including the captain could see under the blanket they hid under.Ghost in this story is 34 then turning 35, Soap is 29 then turning 30.

DMZ is based in Al Mazrah where the end goal is to Loot and Exfil.
Specgru and Kortac Operators are sent to train the new recruits to scavenge the land and complete contracts to deepen their pockets. What was supposed to be potential training grounds becomes a game of life and death.
Al Mazrah has become a battlefield where loyalties are tested, boundaries are crossed, and potential allies are betrayed as war brings out the true nature of people.
Shiva is a new recruit along with most of the soldiers encountered, but there is a prejudice against her by her own squad, and is considered the weakest link. Her squad is composed of recruits who were being trained by Gus but an attack from AQ causes them to separate, but they come to find another Operator from Kortac, König, who is willing to aid them and hopefully find a way to extract from Al Mazrah. Engaging in fights with other Operators, AQ Soldiers, and unfortunate circumstances, there is a slow-burn romance between König and Shiva.
