Loughshinny Dublinn, codenamed Reed the Flameshadow, returns home to Rhodes Island after a journey of self-discovery in the Victorian countryside, eager to meet the Doctor again after her long absence.
As the Landship heads towards Londinium, the shadows of the past return to haunt the Doctor, who has yet to fully recover from the tragic events in Lungmen and Chernobog. Swallowed by this darkness and shivering from the cold that is his guilt, there is only one person who can pull him up from this mire.
And, perhaps, along the way, the flower of love may bloom from the flames.

One itty-bitty feature that the Doctor neglected to mention about cell phones is that, well, the 'private' dms are anything but. Sure, the encryption is top notch - Columbia's best and brightest could hammer away at it for centuries and not make a dent - but as the de facto creator of the miraculous devices, the Doc can sneakily peek in when and whereever they please.
What will they do with this miraculous and not-at-all horribly invasive ability?

Sometimes, the current technologies available can be rather boring. Especially when you're a spacefaring alien with amnesia (not that the Doctor would ever confirm this...) with more downtime than work given the current Terra political climate of (relative) peace. No golden retrievers shattering the sky, no demented goats fighting the scourges of your old civilisation, and especially no walking sashimi trying to bring about Armageddon. And next thing he knows, he's effectively responsible for lives of nearly everyone he meets in his new workplace/home in the field and has to research a cure for an incurable illness, all while trying to get to the bottom of why there's chunks of his memory missing.
