"Okay, you can be my sous chef. Or, like, whatever the baking equivalent to that is. But only if you let me decorate Gingerbread Eddie. Oh, shit—Gingerbreddie!"

"nah," he replied, and you could hear the rueful smile behind his words. "you got room for one more?"
