Summary
Juno knows he doesn’t imagine the look in Nureyev’s eyes when he glances up from his nails to look at Juno. He might look bored to the rest of them, but to Juno? He looks furious. That look in his eyes is cold, hard malice, and Juno has a lot of explaining to do if he ever wants them to get back to where they used to be. If Nureyev even wants that at all.
“Hello, Juno,” Nureyev says, his blood red lips forming the words Juno’s desperate dreams haven’t done justice to, and Juno has to grip his helmet until his knuckles turn white to stop himself from falling to his knees. “It’s been a while.”

It’s a nice day, Juno thinks as he breathes in the clean recycled air of Oldtown Memorial Park, the rock path crunching underneath his shoes. They’re due for another sandstorm soon, maybe in another week or so based on the low dusty blue lights on the horizon, but for the time being, the artificial grass has been cleared off, leaving nothing amiss except for the blades tinged a slight pink. Twenty years ago it looked like blood, the only thing left of a boy who barely had enough time to become a man.
Today? That pink was his favorite color, Juno muses with a half-smile.

Juno has one more visit to make before he leaves Hyperion City. And he even brought a picnic for the occasion. -

Summary
“Juno, look at me.” He knew Nureyev was fast, but that was ridiculous. It must be taking his memories, too. The thief’s calloused hands are on his cheeks, wiping away tears they both only now became aware of.
Juno looks through his blurry eye at the soft hair and crooked, perfect nose of the man he loves. “Run,” he begs.
“Why?”
Juno growls and wastes another precious, free moment. “The THEIA. It’s -” He begins to press at his empty eye socket, scratch at the back of his neck. It’s somewhere. He needs to find it while it’s dormant. “Go, Nureyev, I don’t know what it will make me -”
"It was a dream, my love."

Just as Juno finally has his shit together and things are finally looking up, he gets tossed two years into the past. With both eyes intact and two extra years of memories and character growth, he's gonna do his best to get it right this time.

Summary
A few days have passed since that moment, not nearly enough to stop my treacherous mind from digging it out of its file, studying it like I’d study a potential target. I squint through the darkness of the night and the haze of my memory in an attempt to recall the expression on Juno’s face. What I come up with, time and time again, is star-struck. His lips slightly agape, his posture open, vulnerable. It’d be ridiculously easy to push him over and watch him shatter on the floor like an expensive vase. I know what I saw, and yet I still find myself thinking back, looking for more.

Summary
The dim blue light of sunrise on Mars filters through the windows, and Rita says, “I’m glad you aren’t dead, Boss.”
Juno means it when he says, “Me too, Rita. Me too.” He’s not sure at what point in all of this it happened, but a half-remembered snatch of one of the old earthen poems they learned in school has been dancing around in his head. He thinks he may finally get it- after all this learning that doing Good, being Good, seeking some nebulous greater Good isn’t all he’s worth. A lesson he’s needed for a while, probably. The snippet was, “You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles in the desert repenting.”

“Hang on, they’re just computer files?” I blurted out. “Why can’t Rita hack in from the ship?”
The big guy—sorry, Jet—offered an explanation. “The computer bank that houses the data we need is isolated from all networks. Without a physical connection to the machine, it is completely inaccessible.”
“That’s intentional, of course,” Nureyev added. “With enough time and planning, my dear detective, there isn’t a database in the galaxy that a master hacker can’t access.”
“…So they put it where the hacker can’t get to it in the first place.” I sighed. “A secure government space station.”

“We never really got a chance to talk about it, with everything that happened. What I saw, I mean. In the tomb, before you escaped. I guess I figured that you deserved to know. It is your memories that I’m carrying around with me, and even if you consented to it, it feels weird having them without your knowledge,” Juno explains. Especially with how I have treated the pieces of yourself that you have given to me in the past, he does not add.
Juno and Peter talk about the past.

Summary
Nureyev drinks nothing but black coffee for breakfast, favors silver jewelry, sleeps with one eye open, and is glad to let Buddy take the lead in their criminal overtures. His tongue is sharp, his silence sharper. He wears tailored A-line suits, slim silver glasses, garçon-style culottes, and once, notably, a smoking-jacket embroidered in white roses, which Juno hates to look at. And always, always, heels—practical suede boots, red-soled pumps, piercing stilettos. Legs for days.
Or: sharing a spaceship with a master thief who's a) extremely hurt, b) very bitter, and c) really fucking sexy is ... a challenge.

Summary
really this is just a series of vignettes from Peter's POV after the finale, with a focus on Juno's progress throughout season 2, how he's healthier than he was when Peter knew him. don't @ me about the framework, just enjoy the ride.
With the slight shakiness of comms footage there was a boy standing on a stage in front of dozens of people. His dark skin and darker eyes were so familiar Peter would know them anywhere, but that huge, mischievous grin wasn’t something he could ever imagine on Juno’s face. This wasn’t Juno twenty six years ago. It was his twin.

Summary
Juno Steel has boarded a space ship to the stars with two bank-robbing lesbians, a Man in a Brown Jacket that is now Jet (?), and his beloved Rita.
And Peter Nureyev.
Their next mission will take them across the stars to see new lands and face new problems-- and Juno knows they will do amazing things together.
If only Nureyev would just talk to him.

Summary
It's fine that Juno isn't talking to him. In fact, it's better this way. Peter can't have his relationship (ex-relationship) with the newest member of their team affect his job. That just wouldn't be professional - and Buddy did hire a professional.
