Summary
“Right, fam! Who fancies crashing a royal ball!?”
They had just returned to their ship after an enlightening discussion with a rather formidable group of rebel leaders. Truth be told, the four of them had been suspicious of the Retagholian royals’ claim to power ever since they’d set foot on the forest planet.
What was life without dabbling in a little treason?
So yes; they were crashing a royal ball.
Taking place about a year before 'Not a Bad Date' starts, Yaz struggles to contemplate why she feels so unnerved about a simple dance.
(The 'Revolution' angle is very much set-dressing, and not a seriously thought-through plot, so don't read if you're looking for a proper adventure fic)
(Reading 'Not a Bad Date' is NOT required for understanding any of this)

Summary
If anyone would ask, Rose would say her time at Torchwood was the highlight of her life. After getting used to the migraines and the ringing in her ears, and the dizziness and fatigue, having a job at Torchwood should make up for it, somehow. And yet, Rose was bored. Now, after all she’d lost… well, she didn’t feel there was a point in her staying around if she had nothing to anchor her to this place anymore.
[...]
The Doctor was having a very bad day. Granted, she hadn’t slept in two weeks so she supposed she had a reason to be cranky, but she sensed something was wrong. After being sucked into a mirror universe, in Norway of all places, and seeing how Graham struggled to let his love go, to say Rose Tyler had been on her mind was an understatement.
º~º
In which an immortal Rose Tyler has nothing left behind in Pete’s World and tries to find the one person who can lessen her grief.

"What if you do something it hasn't dealt with before, like reverse the polarity or something?"
"Yasmin Khan! You speak my language."Except, Yaz thinks, she doesn't, does she? Not at all, really. She has no idea what it means to be The Doctor. If she's honest with herself, she has no idea who The Doctor is, or where she appeared from.
And maybe... maybe she'd like to understand, or at least try to. -
