Summary
Rayleigh knew that look in Roger's eye. He'd seen it every time the captain announced another crazy scheme or that hound dog of a marine caught up to them. He'd seen it when they'd found an orphaned boy staring at their ship with an unrestrained want to leave and to live. Now is was this slip of a girl who lived on stagnant streets, sharp edges and wit and a smothered desire to see and to know.
An account of the adventures of Shanks and female Buggy as part of the Roger Pirates, as primarily told by a perpetually done Rayleigh.

The sound was wrong, crying out for liberation of its own. This boy was the embodiment of joy the literal god of liberation and it was wrong, so very wrong that he was shackled by his grief, cursed by this torment.
How could Roger refuse?

Summary
Rayleigh knows his Captain’s charisma, but it still amazes him how he can gather so many of the strongest (and weirdest) people of the Grand Line and the Blues under his flag because what kind of stupid someone has to be to become so infamous around the entire world and still be so loved?
Roger found him, and they both became stronger fighting side by side. Then they started picking crewmates and some came already strong, others were developing their strengths, and now he was about to pick a god-like strong guy who was just as stupid as his Captain and seems to have a messy background.
