Summary
From his first days in the nursery, Cloudpaw knew he would lead SkyClan. Not all Saplings do- but he would. He shoulders the hope of his Clan with pride, standing tall among the ancient sequoias that shade his forest. Yet darker shadows gather on the horizon. Disease and danger creep through the brightgrove like rot in the heartwood, the Clans have turned their backs on one another, and the forest itself closes in. As their leader-to-be, Cloudpaw must reckon with the truth of his destiny: SkyClan's roots may not hold as firmly as his own.
