Mao Mao was not a perfect hero, it hurts to say, but it feels good that he can be honest. That however does not mean he isn’t striving to be perfect, the ideal hero people will look up to and admire, whispering to themselves that one day they wanna be just like him. Their love, appreciation and praise isn’t what he’s after, he wants them to save their passionate emotions for something they are passionate about. He does what he does because he enjoys and loves saving people and fighting monsters, it’s what he is passionate about. He doesn’t want their praise, he wants their respect.

So, a post boomed up on a Tumblr on how Shin Mao is like Mother Gothel. A bunch load of Anons input ideas to this AU and I was one of of them who decide to make this. This branches off as an alternative to the "Cobbler Incident" also written on this site. Little more edits to the plot though to match to this plot.

Update [April 12, 2022]: I should've put on the hiatus since the last time. College right now has me very busy and my motive to write lowered a lot since waiting on Mao Mao Season 2. I should really use that time to perhaps my other Mao Mao story, but again college. Currently trying to get my motive back for this. No promises though.
[Update (July 8th, 2021): Finally graduated and gotten a new laptop, so it is so much simpler now to do stories. There is still college and accounts of getting a job, but I'll be trying my best here to actually write more]
