Summary
The world’s freest man left Shanks with a hat and a dream.
The world itself left him with nothing.After a bitter fight with Buggy and Roger’s death still fresh in his heart, Shanks wanders Sabaody in search of Rayleigh, desperate for answers. Lost in his thoughts, he doesn’t even realize how far into Celestial Dragon territory he’s gone… until it’s too late.
The cold stone scrapes against his skin, chains digging deep into his raw wrists as he clings to the only thing he has left: a crying infant with two-toned hair and no name.
“It’s okay,” he whispers. “I got you. I won’t let them hurt you.”
Shanks doesn’t know how to be a father. He barely remembers how to be free.
But he’ll protect her — no matter what it takes, or who he has to become.
