Summary
Osamu invited him to stay and help so he did. Jin invited him to enlist in Border so he did; eventually. Replica invited him to let people in once more. Yuma was unable to fulfill that request before his partner left him alone with strangers on the other side. He struggles to share the feelings that still dare to grow before they consume him. The rest of the world will stick to their smiles regardless of which path he falls on. In the mean time, every breath is for his captain.
Quickly becoming a compilation of Yuma-centric angst (the goal was hurt/comfort but idk how comforting some of these chapters are) of mostly missing scenes.
Minor canon divergence (Osamu moves in to Tamakoma when Yuma does, the selection exam is not moved up early, and an overdose of pining boys and teens trying to be in relationships) -

Four years ago, two baby birds are stolen from Meeden, forced to endure a perilous journey home that costs them both flesh and innocence. Eventually, both groups collide as the birds return home, finding themselves as strangers in the place they once called home.

This is a collection of fics i wrote for my friend as a sort of 'bedtime story' type thing. There are only 11 in existence right now and while im sure ill write more, im not sure if they'll be posted lol.
I just thought that it would be fun to share! These are just silly stories i told to my friend, not something i would classify as a fan fic as none of these are written out like that, but i hope you enjoy if you decide to read them!Each story is centered around Hyuse, but i didn't neglect the other characters either. They are also all different, unconnected stories set in different times.
Some have connected head canons though, and my own au's.Some stories include: Hyuse and Yotaro sickfic, Time travel, and my own Enedora and Hyuse au where Enedora is a prisoner as well
All characters in this fic are in the tags! And for the relationships, they're all tages of characters that have been in the center with Hyuse in each of the stories. The vague 'tamakoma ensemble' is because one of the stories has Hyuse with the all of tamakoma 1 plus a few more
(Also, there is nothing explicitly romantic between Hyuse and Yuma, you can interpret it as romantic or platonic according to your tastes^^)Series

Meeden is a place full of threats that can emerge at any time, Hyuse finds. When Yotaro shouts, "The floor is lava!" He knows to take it seriously. Even if the lava is invisible, he won't risk it, not when Yotaro reveals that it's also infested with lava monsters.
Or, Yotaro decides to play 'the floor is lava' without explaining that the floor is not, in fact, lava.

There have been one too many instances of Hyuse and Yuma causing chaos due to not being able to read Japanese.
Jin somehow gets assigned to teach them, but the final result from his impromptu training camp is such a funny future that he may influence it- just a bit. Chaos comes naturally with those two.
(Set a year after Yuma comes to Earth for plot convenience.)

Summary
Kido masamune, letting his paranoia get to him, took away the triggers of Hyuse and Yuma. The away mission is only a month and a half away yet the two neighbors were left triggerless and on a tight leash.
Unable to fight freely, Hyuse began to feel restless. And Yuma starts to find meeden boring. Contemplating alternatives that would mean giving up everything they've built so far, neither of them are content to just sit around while Kido tightens the leash around their necks, threatening to choke.
But is there anything they can do given their positions? Their friends-even if Hyuse wouldn't admit to them being friends-are trying to help, but they know that it's just the two of them against the leaders of border.
It's one dangerous waiting game, can Hyuse and Yuma sit idly by until next month, or will the restlessness get to them and give Kido the perfect excuse he needs to kick them off of the away mission?
