While events are going down in the Otherworld, we get a look into the lives of everyone who has stayed behind at Lurolona Village.
From Moto's hellish training with Granny, Ren's first attempts to learn blacksmithing, and Melty coming to terms with recent events. There is something for all of our characters here, be it good or bad.
Not much might be going on now. But there is no doubt that Motoyasu and Ren's time in their world will remain uneventful in the future. Especially as Motoyasu receives a concerning letter requesting the Heroes' aid inside the Gladiator Arenas of Zeltoble.
Naofumi and Itsuki still have a lot to take care of during their time in Glass's world. But there is no doubt that events will need to be covered later in their world, and Motoyasu will be at the head of it all when that happens.

Summary
The Spirit Tortoise is dead, but things are far from ok. Motoyasu is still missing and Ren was kidnapped shortly after unlocking his Cursed Series. Naofumi and Itsuki are running themselves and their parties ragged trying to find out where they were taken while simultaneously having to deal with the remaining fallout from before.
As for Ren's party... Farrie is not taking the death of Bakta well. Tersia is trying to hold things together. And Wyndia is stubbornly trying to find Ren while refusing help from anyone else. Wishing she could be for Ren what Raphtalia and Rishia were to their Heroes, yet fearing she'll never be good enough to help him once he is found.
It is a rough time indeed, but not all hope is lost. Fitoria is there to assist the Heroes as well, wanting to make up for before. And soon, an unknown individual, claiming to be a servant of the Spirit Tortoise, will aid the Heroes in their efforts against the one who awakened her originally. The one who desires the Soul Power of their world for an unknown purpose.
And with the help of some Otherworlders, not only might they have a chance to succeed. But a lonely dog girl might finally be able to learn that she is enough to help her Hero.

Things are going well. Naofumi and Raphtalia grow more intimate in their relationship with each other. Ren and Wyndia go on their first mutual date together. Rishia is becoming more confident thanks to Itsuki's help. We even get to see our favorite Bow Hero oversee a wedding for one of his friends...
Yet, one night is all it takes to ruin their hard-earned efforts. And for the great Shield Hero to break from the stress and blow up on everyone around him.
Things only get worse as this happens before a massive beast the size of a mountain range is awakened. And the Spear Hero Motoyasu disappears while going off to confront it. Now, the fate of the whole world rests on the shoulders of our three Heroes and their friends, who'll have to learn to forgive one another, face this threat together, and find out what happened to Motoyasu and his party, before the Spirit Tortoise and the one behind it take away everything they've come to cherish from this world.
Hope will not be enough to survive the trials ahead.
