Summary
Once Roach got clean through the second bone, Izzy’s cries subsided. Roach realized that Fang was whispering gentle comforts to him, and wondered if this was the first time he’d spoken to Izzy that way. When he looked up and they locked eyes, Fang gave Roach a bashful smile, as if he was embarrassed of showing Izzy Hands such kindness.
Roach smiled back reassuringly. He wasn’t gonna judge. He’d tried to show Izzy kindness once before, when he’d gotten himself banished, and was disappointed at the result. Yet here he was doing it again. Roach knew that if Blackbeard had left Izzy to suffer like this, few on the ship would have been upset with him if Izzy had just died from this fever.
That didn’t sit well with Roach. Whatever crimes Izzy had committed against his captain, this would be a cruel way to go. He didn’t deserve this.
Or, an S2 speculative on making Fang/Izzy/Roach canon because the leaks and cute cast posts got me thinkin.

Summary
Stede paid to set up a live camera so he could watch his dream home get built. On the day contractors were set to break ground, Stede had a meal and bottle of champagne delivered to Izzy’s house, and they watched the first scoops of the excavator together over Zoom.
This story is a continuation of "actually I do know what I need" and the second part of trans Izzy coming home to himself. Fortunately, his awesome clinic provides a "Caretaker" service. Stede helps him recover, and the two become close during the process. Ed thinks he might have finally found something until one day with the man leaves him without so much as a note.
One year later, celebrating a full recovery, Ed stumbles across a familiar face in a bar.
