Summary
If her team saw her now, she’d never live it down. But this wasn’t about pride—it was about necessity.
Solas stopped abruptly, turning to face her. His sharp, piercing gaze caught hers, and for a moment, Rook hesitated. Her breath faltered under the weight of his scrutiny. Slowly, she dropped her eyes to the ground and released her grip on his cloak.
“I swear fealty to you,” she said. “I will be your blade, if you’ll allow it. I know I’ve kept things from you—my story, even my name—but I swear that whatever knowledge I have, it could aid your cause. This I swear.”
She raised her eyes to meet his again, and to her surprise, Solas’s composure cracked. His mouth fell slightly ajar, and he stared at her as if she had just done something unfathomable.
Without waiting for a response, Rook drew her blade from its sheath.
“What are you—” Solas began, but the words faltered as she sliced the edge of the blade across her palm. A sharp hiss escaped her lips as blood seeped over her skin.

Rook ends up in the past in the middle of Solas’ rebellion. Not sure how she got there, she decides to ally herself with the Dreadwolf in hopes of somehow changing the future.

“Now, I intend to fling barbs tonight, be they figurative or literal, and since you seem to averse to conversation, it seems you must indulge me in a duel.”
“No,” he said, as expected. What she didn’t expect was the faint crackle of purple to flicker over him, “Will not hurt you.”
She regarded him thoughtfully, preparing to tailor the plan on a whim.
“Is that Spite speaking, or Lucanis?”
“Both,” Spite’s accent bled further into their punchy response, “Promised.”

“You are,” Lucanis agrees. “So full, Rook, and so tight, mierda, every time you clench—”
Rook swallows back a gasp as Lucanis shifts behind him; pulls out just slightly. "They’re going to hear us,” he whimpers, “they’re going to know.”
“They won’t.” Lucanis’ hands on his hips, squeezing, squeezing. “Not if you’re quiet.”

Summary
Born the child of a royal mistress, Rook’s life was never meant to be ordinary. Cast aside by a mother who never wanted her, she found family in the deadly world of the Antivan Crows, under the ruthless guidance of her brother, Viago De Riva. Trained as an assassin, she quickly learned that survival means doing whatever it takes.
But when an ancient, forgotten threat resurfaces— the last of the Evanuris, Elgar’nan, and Ghilan’nain,—Rook is thrust into a battle that could tear the world apart. Amidst the chaos, her heart is torn between duty and desire as the stakes grow higher with every battle, and Rook must decide whether love will be her salvation or her undoing.
With a world on the edge of ruin, Rook must confront her past, her heart, and the gods themselves. Can she lead the Veilguard to victory and save the world, or will the Gods consume everything she holds dear?
In this epic tale of family, destiny, and the price of love, Rook will rise or fall with the weight of the world on her shoulders.
A retelling of Dragon Age: Veilguard starting in 9:27, and continuing forward into post-game events. The story I wish we'd had from the final game.

Summary
Kaela Laidir's life hasn't been the easiest: taken from Par Vollen at three, orphaned and made homeless at twelve, taken aboard a Tevinter galley as a slave at fourteen, freed by luck three years later and allowed to join the Lord of Fortunes afterwards. She's used to things going wrong for her, which is why she didn't really fight it when she was sent away with Varric because of annoying Rivaini nobles.
At least Varric treats her better than most people.
But of course, she should have known that'd go wrong as well—when they fail to properly stop Solas' ritual, and she's forced to take the mantle of leader, she still expects for something to go wrong.
She just never expected it to be in the form of falling for the Demon of Vyrantium.

Summary
Elgar'nan sees something that he wants, and no one can stop him from taking it.
She is reed-slender and soft-fleshed and moon-haired, her mouth curved to smile and her hands unscarred and uncalloused. She laughs easily, scowls fiercely, and wears every expression in between as if it is a strand of gemstones that she’d like to show off.
She is not Elvhen. She is barely an elf - their language sits like marbles in her mouth, consonants clacking together rather than singing. In some ways, Elgar’nan finds it endearing: like watching a halla take its first steps, still wet from the womb.

Summary
Lucanis had never been so amused watching someone eat. She paused as she considered every bite, sometimes halving it, like she worried about taking too much though none of her bites could be considered anything but diminutive. She chewed thoroughly, vigorously, always with her fingers pressed to her lips to shield herself. She savored, letting out quiet little sounds of appreciation.
“Is that thyme?” she asked suddenly.
“It is.” He was surprised she could detect it. He had used the barest sprinkling, just enough to tame the bitterness of the onions.
A stirring in the back of his skull, movement from a phantom that had held himself so strangely patient that the absence of him was more jarring than his presence. Cook for her more.
A spark ignited in his chest, a need.

Summary
Rook knew that killing Elgar'nan would help Solas in tearing down the Veil. Being betrayed by the dreadwolf too many times already, she decided to change the game in the final moment of her battle with Elgar'nan.
Instead of killing Elgar'nan and therefore destroying the Veil, she decided to imprison him in the fade prison instead. Her plan was - as always - just formed in the heat of the moment and not perfect, so she ends imprisoned together with the god of the sun and vengeance inside the fade. Now stuck together, they have to find a way to live with each other, if they like it or not.

Summary
“That—” Rook’s voice caught in a breathless chuckle, “—is a very questionable place to linger. I swear, if you don’t stop tracing my freckles like they’re some kind of map, I’m going to lose my mind.”
Lucanis’ mouth curved into a half smile, half smirk, unforced for the first time that night. A quiet laugh slipped from him, warm and low against Rook’s ear. “Then perhaps I should keep going,” he murmured, his voice tinged with a rare playfulness.-
