Summary
The first train crash in Atlas' history was the biggest disaster they faced outside the war. And it was completely avoidable too. But those in charge kept pushing the scheduled repairs for that poor old rust bucket back month after month to focus on 'better alternatives', all the way until it became a pile of burning fireball scrap metal that burned for days on end.
The men and women of Atlas always have that problem, ya see. They believe that if they work hard enough, throw enough money or just act like the problem doesn't exist that any problem they face will naturally go away. They believe that Fate will make it so they get what they want, even if they have to twist reality to make it happen. It doesn’t matter how many they hurt it’s only when it starts to back fire, only when it’s their head on the chopping block do the weak waver.
But if they don’t, if they look at the poor choices they've made and still chose to drive you down just to keep their precious pride intact. That’s when you get a true Atlas train crash for the history books.
