It's the start of the games, but things go a little off the script from the mastermind's plans. Kaede never sets the trap, and the first trial never happened. Leaving Monokuma restless. But, he finds himself in the possession of a very odd serum. Deciding to use it as a motive... and sense the mastermind had him on autopilot he was free to do so without telling her.
So everyone would awaken to find that their memories were not there own. They knew what had happened to them in the past. But they no longer had the imagery memory to back it up. Those memories were in somebody else's head and they had that person now. Friends will grow closer, rivals will finally understand each other, and people will start to get why people tick the way they do. But with everything this had bad... bad side effects for some. Not only did Angie's oracle powers transfer with her memories, but so did Korekiyo's sister.
Not only that but some people's memory contained things people would rather keep out of there heads. Some people have a better time adjusting than others. Tsumugi for once, just as clueless as everyone else. -

Harukawa Maki: A great assassin who does her job to help the orphanage she grew up in.
Ouma Kokichi: The infamous Phantom Thief and leader of a group of thieves called DICE. Has a strong sense of justice and holds grudges. Steals and sells it off to help struggling people.
Saihara Shuichi: A detective hunting down Harukawa's organization along with the friend and coworker of Kirigiri Kyoko. Seems to have drawn a target on his own back.
On a task to kill Saihara and erase any traces that he may have gathered on the whereabouts and function of the group of assassins Harukawa works at, Harukawa has to trace down all of the locations Saihara's notes are. What she wasn't expecting, however, was Ouma stepping in to prevent Saihara's death. After all, who wouldn't pass up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to save someone's life? More or less someone with the potential to stop the organization for good.
So, Harukawa decides to "befriend" Saihara and his friend Momota to avoid Ouma from protecting him in the shadows. Ouma decides to "befriend" Saihara as well. But, what if the pair genuinely start caring for Saihara and his friend? How can Harukawa bring herself to kill her closest friend?
