One year into the battle against the Others humanity is losing. With the Wall about to fall and all losing hope eighteen year old Sansa Stark arrives in Winterfell driven by horrid dreams and whispers on the wind. Clashing with her sister immediately Sansa has an encounter with Bran and Jojen Reed that reveals a dark secret Sansa has kept since childhood. This secret sends her and the motley crew she has gathered over the years on a desperate quest.
A quest that sends Sansa to the cursed lands of Stony Shore where deserters of the Battle of the Dawn were cursed by Brandon the Builder to remain until their oaths were fulfilled. But to try and command the undead is a skill not seen in a millennia.
Sansa knows all magic has consequences. But the cost of what she will attempt could be too high a price to pay. The fate of Westeros lies in the balance. Summary
When she is eight years old Sansa Stark is proclaimed the heir to Harrenhal by decree of King Aerys Targaryen. Forced South Sansa is told two things by Old Nan. It will be many years before she sees the North again. And she must not fear the fire or the shadows in her blood.
Over a hundred and fifty years after his death Daemon Targareyn’s existence of haunting Harrenhal and arguing with a woods witch is interrupted when a young girl arrives. Daemon knows she will be the latest victim of these cursed place. Everything he knows is shattered when Sansa Stark sees him.
And suddenly Daemon has a purpose once more. And so he swears to the Fourteen and the Old Gods he will protect, teach, and prepare her. Her name will become legend.
