Summary
In a world defined by fear and power, Yosano, a gifted girl with the ability to heal and induce decay, is abandoned by her parents who cannot bear the weight of her extraordinary powers. Taken in by Mori, the enigmatic leader of a cult, she undergoes rigorous training that amplifies her abilities, ultimately transforming her into the “angel of death” with wings made of lush greenery. Within the cult, Yosano becomes both feared and revered, as Mori employs her powers to enact unique forms of punishment on traitors—transforming them into grotesque monstrosities or resurrecting them as mindless corpses controlled by her abilities. Despite her newfound strength, Yosano grapples with the haunting scars of her abandonment and the struggle to forge her own identity amidst the darkness of her existence.

Summary
After being rescued from a mental institution by Ranpo and Fukuzawa, Yosano begins journaling as a way to cope with her trauma. During a meeting at the ADA, Fukuzawa introduces a new member, Dazai Osamu. Upon meeting him, Yosano is struck by an overwhelming sense of unease, as Dazai’s speech and mannerisms eerily mirror those of Mori, the man who once tormented her. The resemblance triggers painful memories of her past, causing Yosano to panic. She retreats to the medical room, where she is confronted by a distorted reflection of Mori in the mirror, leading her to faint. After regaining consciousness, Yosano resolves to stay cautious of Dazai, uncertain if he truly is like Mori or if her fear is merely a product of her trauma.

Summary
Haunted by a vivid dream, Yosano Akiko relives her days as a wartime medic under Mori Ougai’s command. In the dream, she’s a child again, forced to heal dying soldiers only to send them back to their deaths. She pleads, cries, and refuses—yet ultimately obeys, while Mori watches with a smile, calling her perfect. Waking in a motel room years later, now a member of the Armed Detective Agency, Yosano is shaken by the realization that Mori still remembers her cries—not with guilt, but with pride. The memory is not forgotten. It’s preserved. And it still binds her.
