“Whiskey?” Scrags asked, apprehension in his tone, “Isn’t that a little… strong?”
His dad offered him a grin, eyes flashing, “Go big or go home, right?”
Scrags didn’t know why he went through with it, but he did. He shrugged and let the whiskies come, and he clinked his glass with his father’s before taking a sip.
“Oh my god- thats-,” Scrags sputtered, coughing violently, “That’s a lot of- yeah, wow… People drink this? For fun?”
His dad laughed, a full, loud laugh, leaning back on the stool, “Don’t sweat it, kid, you’ll get used to it.”
