Summary
On a different Earth, our beloved characters take on different obstacles, face different decisions. On Earth-27, one such decision is one Laurel Lance makes. Instead of being left behind while Oliver Queen, her boyfriend, went to China on the Gambit, she decides to surprise him by sneaking on board.
At the same time, Oliver was trying to convince Laurel's younger sister, Sara, to be the one to join him on the yacht trip. Oliver decides to just forgo the yacht after Sara declined to go with him, and would fly to China the closer his father got and would return with him on the boat. Following what happens on most Earths, the Gambit sinks, and Robert Queen and Laurel Lance are believed to be dead.

After five years stuck on the island, Oliver returns with Slade. Sara and Shado had returned a year prior, but it’s not the same. The four have become a tight knit family, and nothing can break that apart.
Throw in evil mothers, a bunch of trauma ridden vigilantes, a surprisingly forgiving Quentin Lance and a cruel Laurel Lance, as well as a bad guy hit list, a very bad (no he’s actually good) bodyguard, and a somewhat crazy IT tech? You have the beginnings of an amazing story.

Shado sighed. “They need someone to blame, and while Merlyn’s in the wind, Moira Queen is right there in Iron Heights.” She looked over at Oliver, who was staring at the grotesque representation of his mother. The hood pulled low over his face hid his expression in shadows. “Are you okay?”
He crossed his arms and shifted his weight uneasily. Under the hood, his eyes flicked from side to side, scanning the area. “We need to get off the street,” he said at last.
She couldn’t argue with that. They’d been out in the open for far too long already.
