Summary
When Japan is plunged once again into chaos and turmoil it falls upon Ranpo Edogawa's shoulders, yet again, to fix it and bring the Armed Detective Agency back together. But first, he needs to take a few stops on the way.
Personal relationships have only ever ended in suffering for Edgar Allan Poe, so when he finally has someone who he doesn't ever want to let go, he digs his fingers in too tight. It doesn't help that there are monsters roaming the streets who have a taste for human flesh, and his little someone seems insistent on facing them without Poe holding his hand.

So I have an issue. Another chatfic. I need to stop being so obsessed with chatfics but there aren't enough of them out there. Mori is not here, just mentioned because Dazai and Yosano are traumatized from him. No toxic ships btw. Dazai and Akutagawa are on good terms and Dazai still feels horrible about what he did and Akutagawa is mad about it but is healing. Dazai and Akutagawa are working together to heal both of their trauma and actually go to therapy together because they want to make it work. Atsushi and Chuuya are just simps from their boyfriends. But no, no toxicity here. I hate toxic relationships and stuff. So watch me, I love this already and this chaos.

Ranpo Edogawa was used to praise. He was constantly being showered in awed comments praising his intellect, or amazed stares. None of this effected him very much, aside from feeding his ever growing superiority complex.
So what made Edgar Allen Poe so different? Why did one man’s smile make Ranpo’s heart race? Why did that very same mans voice make Ranpo feel so.. alive?
Ranpo slowly coming to terms with the fact that it’s not the unhealthy amounts of candy that’s causing his stomach to flutter.
