"I-" he took a breath, "I didn't mean that.." he didn't want you to feel bad because of his bad attitude. It truly was too early for any conversation. You smiled up to him, coming closer once more. He felt a little bit of relief at that. All you've been was nice to him, he shouldn't have acted that way

She had not meant to say that aloud. She knew the man heard it too because he froze in his movements. Guilt crawled through her body, wound around her heart, and she couldn’t say that she was lying or joking, because it was true and she didn’t like to lie if she didn’t have to. Fear was another thing that clawed at her chest.
“... What?” His voice was soft, weak. It felt wrong, and she was the reason he sounded like that. Guilt squeezed her heart tight.
“Problem Child.” Her mouth clarified despite her internal narrator screaming, crying for her to bite her tongue to keep the words inside. “I don’t like it.”

Kaminari Denki is failing. Which is unsurprising, so say the least. It’s hard to pay attention in class and he’s terrible at remembering which equation is used for each shape and how to use a Punnett square and what day Pearl Harbor happened. And so, he’s assigned a tutor.
Shinsou Hitoshi is passing. Which is unsurprising, because pretty much all he does is study. Most of the time he’s not even sure what he’s studying for; college? Then what? Either way, it’s all he does. It’s all he’s good at, in his opinion. So when is adoptive father assigns him a kid to tutor, he’s pretty iffy at first.
Over winter break, both of them realize 2 things. One, they like each other. Two, they no longer have any excuses to hang out together.

Basically Shinsou getting introduced to class 1a and midoriya falls in love.
“Hey Shinsou would you like to eat lunch with me?” Izuku asks obnoxiously loud, (especially in the unusual silence haunting the classroom) after turning in his seat to face the boy.
Then Izuku hears this irritating ogre voice start blabbering away.
“HA! Who would wanna eat lunch with a loser like you stupid deku!” Bakugou remarks helpfully from the seat in front of him, somehow managing to be even louder than the previous problem child who had something to say.

Hitoshi Shinso is accepted into the UA hero course because he just got enough points to make it in (Bakugo is gone so there’s an extra spot) but is annoyed at all the people who keep telling him his quirk is villainous. Angrily, he writes a post about how unfairly people treat those with unheroic quirks, in the light of the Aldera Middle School debacle, it makes more of an impact than anyone could have expected. Hitoshi should have known that nothing on the internet remains private.

Shinsou Hitoshi stared down at the stub in his hand. He still didn’t quite believe that he’d made it this far, if he was being totally honest with himself. Sure, he had ignored everyone at school who’d told him to quit while he was ahead, and sure he’d maybe possibly forged his foster mother’s signature to get here, but the glint of UA’s embossed logo at the top of his Hero course entrance exam details still knocked the wind out of him.
He was going to do this. He was going to prove every single one of those assholes wrong and become a Hero.
