That was until Hydra came back and Steve's best friend Bucky Barnes is alive.
Steve's now ex-boyfriend Brock Rumlow is on the run with a warrant for his arrest. Steve moves back into the Avengers tower along with the rest of the team and their new recruits. Tony figures this can be a chance for him and Steve to reconcile, so he also moves back in. Now Tony has to figure out how to live in the same building as Steve, while keeping his feelings in check. At least he tries to.

They are a beautiful intense blue. Like someone had swiped a paintbrush through the ocean and painted them into this assassin’s eyes. The complex colour is somehow heightened by the smudged darkness on his skin. Bucky’s breath catches as he stares into them. He is suddenly back in the cockpit of the Valkyrie, feeling the rush of icy liquid bury him.
This assassin’s eyes are incredibly clear but blank. Lucid and aware, but bereft of emotion, of feeling, of anything. The absolute nothingness in that gaze is bone chilling. Even Natasha's carefully blank mask cannot compare. That, at least, Bucky can tell he is looking at a living person, but this—
This is almost like staring at a dead body.
Like staring at an empty lake illuminated by the moon, one that tempts you close with its clear stillness. One where you only discover how deep the water is when you’re drowning in that illuminated beauty.
