Since then, many of those impossible moments – the ones he’d dreamed of or tucked away in diaries – have come true. And today, perhaps, is the most impossible day of all.

Summary
The first time Blitzø told Stolas he loved him, it was part of a roleplay; a mockery of dreams he’d had about hearing those words. It stopped him short, watching Blitzø slip into a fantasy he thought Stolas wanted. Seeing the way he threw the phrase out so easily, because it wasn’t real.
Blitzø wanted to rehabilitate the words by proving their meaning to Stolas, but the owl preferred to run away from stress. So, they worked on it, with Blitzø doing his best to respect Stolas’ pace and visibly swallowing the phrase back down over and over, waiting for Stolas to be ready.
Until they slipped out.
