** 12/16/2023 Update! Kinda! So as of this minor change, the official release for Hazbin Hotel is January 2024, almost five years later! Mama mia! I guess I'm adding this in here because, dear reader, TSH was built on the premise of pilot notes, early (no longer accessible) Q/A streams, and details which are either no longer canon, have been changed, or re-ordered. So! TSH did its best to stick to "official" information as often as possible, but it's impossible to do that in the early draft days. I can't tell the future, of course (yet). Chuuya and Dazai used to attend High School together. But when Chuuya moved back to France Dazai felt so alone. He had lost all of his firsts to Chuuya and didn't yet get to tell him the way he felt. After years passed and they began to forget each other Chuuya became an honor student in the arts and majored in physics. He was given a scholarship for a University in Japan. When he made his decision along with the help of his family, he moved to the Colleges dormitory. Now that he was all the way in Japan he felt memories flood back from when he used to live here. His mother was Japanese and his dad moved from France to Japan to stay with her when he was young. After she cheated on his dad and died not too long after they moved back to France. Chuuya doesn't remember much from his childhood. His memories start when he was eight years old and older. Dazai on the other hand is the son of Mori Ougai—a very well-known doctor with a good reputation—Dazai is expected to become a doctor as well. His father adopted Dazai when he was 14 and has always had high expectations for him. This led Dazai to study science, physiology, biology, and anything that would come in handy within the medical field.
