20 years after the Second Orc War. The land of Hominum has gone through major changes, technological advancements powered by steam or scrying stones, and the abolishment of oppressive laws including one that stopped orphans from attending the school of Vocans Academy. Mason, a half-elf orphan boy from Raleighshire must be tested to be an adept by Fletch Raleigh shortly after his 16th birthday, when it's found he has the ability to summon he must attend Vocans as the only half-elf summoner in known history. In a world where he is hated by almost everyone for just being born, and the knowledge of secrets that must be kept, Mason must take a stance or else all out war between man and elf-kind will break out. Will he have what it takes to hold a newly found society together or must everything crumble before him...

Summary
As Fletcher, Sylvia, Othello, & Alice are escaping the Ether some orcs manage to catch up. During the ensuing battle the portal starts closing, Sylvia, Othello, & Alice managed to get through it. Fletcher was unable to make it in time leaving him behind with the few remaining orcs. Several years later they find him again alive but different. Hopefully the summary was good.

I don't even know if there will be any interest in this for anyone but me, but with the amount of times Fletcher mentioned how "attractive" the men in his life were, I can't be the only one that at least head cannoned him as Bi, right? It's just a little blurb about Fletcher having nightmares (because who wouldn't after all the War time trauma?) and his best friend (maybe more?) helping him through it. I hope someone who also read the Summoner series by Taran Matharu sees this and enjoys it. I originally wanted to write something longer, but I seem to be more prone to a more short Epilogue like style of writing right now. (Minor spoilers (and 1mentioned character death) for the third book BattleMage, as this was written after I'd read the entire series)
