When Florian joined the masked vigilante scene, he knew he would eventually meet Ozymandias. And, to some extent, he knew he would be begin to work with him, and he knew that he would end up in worse situations than before. His near death experience was expected. He knew he could handle it. What wasn't expected, was what came next.
Or anything that came after.
Florian certainly wasn't the smartest man in the world, but he never realized how little he knew about his partner until the walls finally cracked.
Even if he'd known what was going to happen, he wouldn't change his past.
Not if it kept him from Adrian.
