Summary
The streets of Kabuki never truly slept, but they felt more alive in the dark. Looking at all the old familiar faces around her, V took a deep breath of garbage-scented air. The sidewalk was littered with newspapers, food wrappers, ads beaming down on every surface, left and right. Plastic debris glittered in tandem with broken glass in the street, and the sides of buildings were coated in swaths of flickering screens, commercials flashing over a barren waste of passing cars and people. Somewhere, someone was shrieking obscenities into the night air. Nobody listened.

V spent her formative years working as a joytoy in Kabuki, learning the ropes and working for the Mox as a jack of all trades. She's only recently scraped her way out of bedrooms and onto the streets of Night City as an edgerunner, and she's determined to make it work. No matter the cost. A routine carjacking, a new partner in crime, a slow escalation to a nuclear demise- the path to sharing brainspace with Johnny Silverhand began so small. Now, facing down a whole city at her throat, V will have to navigate a much thornier road.
