Summary
Hok'ee Prax and his haliin Öökyo Varkinis enter strange catacombs in order to fulfill a bounty contract by killing off a cultist organization. However, upon entering the tunnels they encounter strange visions and dark shadows that speak of horrors from a plane beyond their own.
Ignoring the warnings, the two nervin find a room with a strange book. Upon touching it, Hok'ee is transported to a dark realm where pain and misery are constant.
Can Hok'ee learn to survive without Öökyo at his side? Or will the endless trials chip away at him until he either breaks or becomes something much worse?
