Summary
MAGNUS CHASE didn't really have an option. His mother told him not to trust his uncles. But how does that work when, after Natalie dies, his Uncle Frederick takes (read: is forced to) custody of him?
Now he has to fight against Annabeth in the Titan War.
But she doesn't know that he didn't get a choice on the matter.ANNABETH CHASE didn't know why she deserved it. Right after her first quest, Luke tried to kill Percy and left camp, basically telling them he's starting a war with them on opposite sides.
She doesn't know why Magnus joined him. The little brother she knew would never make such a choice. Annabeth doesn't know a lot of things. But she will find the reason soon. She has to.
