There’s nothing about it that isn’t upsetting. And he’s right of course. It is a tie. What else can it ever be? We can’t do very much in way of harm to him, not with his species’ biology. Many of the gathered Sakaarans seem plenty willing to try, no matter how pointless it might turn out to be, but though it might make them feel better it will not achieve anything.
No revolution was ever going to succeed. Not here. Not against him.
What he was, the person he was when every flaw was accounted for, was too fundamental a part of this world for anyone ever to be able to remove him. It wouldn’t be Sakaar without him. That’s why seconds pass and no one attacks him. That’s why when he sighs and starts the long walk back to his opulent villa at the heart of the city people simply let him pass.
Revolution is merely a dream that helps make our lives bearable. We need to keep dreaming it a lot more than we need to wake up into a world where we could live up to it.
As sad as it is we need him back where he belongs – looking down on us as the king of the hill he is.
