Summary
1998 — After moving back to her childhood neighborhood in Eltingville, Staten Island, Marzia Lindberg is reunited with four boys she used to call her best friends. She isn’t the same girl she was when she left—and neither are they.
2008 — Marzia, now a preschool teacher scraping by paycheck to paycheck, posts a Craigslist ad for a roommate. She doesn’t expect a response from her ex.
