For even longer Shadow has kept out of the affairs of mortals and lived in peaceful isolation just outside the main kingdom. His peaceful life is interrupted by a mysterious hedgehog who brings more questions than answers and puzzles worth solving. The possibility of the royal family's death not being an accident comes to light as Shadow struggles to keep an ancient promise despite his wish to be left alone.

    Act 1: Soleanna
    Sonic, Tails, and Shadow start on their quest to locate the keys to unlocking the power of the Gods and find if the mysterious Chaos Emeralds are truly a myth or not. Their first stop is the Kingdom of Soleanna and the South Islands where a possessed princess is being manipulated by her courts into hunting down her missing brother with murderous intent.

    (This fic is inspired by the music videos made by Faith Scarred on YouTube, but it's only around 80% music-accurate since I had to take some creative liberties to make it make sense in written form. Also, this fic will have chapters updated to make it longer and to fit in better with the newer music videos, but will not lose the original plot.)
