Summary
In Episode 10 of Titans Return, Megatronus Prime shows up. Optimus tries to get the drop on him while he's monologuing but gets insta-killed instead. Then Megatronus Prime takes the Enigma of Combination and Matrix of Leadership and flies away. Everyone blamed Megatron for his death in the episode and they were all kinda dicks about it.

After years of exile and knowing full well that he is no longer a Prime, does Optimus think he can just waltz right back onto Cybertron and decide Starscream’s punishment? After all those years of war and attempts at killing each other, does Optimus think Megatron is worth more concern than him?!
Optimus has been exiled from Cybertron yet steps on her surface.

Windblade has killed combiners and shot Starscream (unintentionally but still).
Starscream has taken The Enigma of Combination to control the combiners with seemingly no end goal other than the one Megatron assumed.
All of this, and Optimus declares that only Starscream gets to be punished while they all get to walk away scott-free?Hell no, he’s going to defend Starscream to hell and back
