It was a sacred vow to spend eternity with another until time warped into nothingness and the world dissolved into dust. An oath that held the power of the heavens in a set of actions that illustrated pure, devoted love.
It was only millenniums after you died that Xiao remembered the proposal you made in the heat of war, and how he never gave his answer. But even though you are now nothing more than decomposed matter, a proposal that supposedly transcends divine power should have no restrictions on whether one of the parties involved is deceased, right?
In other words, you're Xiao's dead bride-to-be. And whether it meant he would have to bend the logic which the world had steadily built itself upon and travel through the webs of time to fulfill that proposal, such was the nature of a limitless contract.
