Peter finally managed to roll himself over onto his back, ignoring the sharp pain that shot through his spine at the movement enough to sit up and look around. He was in an alley which thankfully held no occupants save himself and the trash littering the ground.
“But I can… I can send you away. To a place where there is no Peter Parker. No Spiderman.”

I will tell you what I remember; still, it doesn’t matter. My days, my thoughts, my failures welcome the spiral here, to the edge. Maybe to you it looks like there is something else, meaning hidden in the lines, a return to the edge; I can assure you, there isn’t.
By the end, perhaps you will see what I see: that existence is only optional in theory, awareness is a burden, that no smile no solace could save me from the knotted wisp of truth in a still, quiet mind.
