Summary
Earth, 2089. A rift opens up in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, going unnoticed for months. When the rift is finally detected, large concrete buildings had been erected already, and there were soldiers patrolling, wearing an unfamiliar emblem and odd armor. A whisper drone was dispatched to initiate contact, but was shot out of the air moments after de-cloaking. After three more attempts, and three more failures, the Unified Earth Government declared war on these strangers. This is my take on a (hopefully) realistic story, where I attempt to make realistic guesses on the features and technology of humanity, 71 years in the future. A collection of stories from both sides. Crossposted on FFN under the same name and user as well.
