Summary
Shadow inhaled as he allowed the pain to persist. He fought the normal urge to bury it, letting it flow to his brain just as the blue hedgehog walked up to the pair.
His quills were gray-blue instead of cobalt and his stance was a complete opposite of his usual one, more apprehensive. But his eyes were a piercing emerald green, the same as the emeralds he had sworn to protect with the Quintet.
