“And if you were so determined to shackle me with a soulmate,” he continues, because Ardyn has never learned when to give up or stop talking, “You could have, oh, I don’t know, at least made the name legible. I’m not even sure that is a name.”
What he is sure, though, is that this is a problem.
(In which Ardyn, poised to make his carefully cultivated plan of revenge a reality, discovers a soulmate mark on his wrist. But he can't tell if it's a name or an adjective, because his soulmate has the worst handwriting he's ever seen.)

“Please remember,” Ignis stresses to him when the tailor briefly leaves the room, “you are attending a royal ball to celebrate the Crown Prince’s eighteenth birthday. You will be expected to look the part. You are not to remove the sleeves, not from the shirt nor from the jacket.”
“You think I’d try to modify this?” Prompto squeaks, looking down at the suit incredulously. “I think this is worth more than my house!”
“Just last year, you tore the sleeves off a forty-two-thousand-yen midgardsormr leather jacket,” Ignis says with a severe glare, suppressing a shudder at the memory. “A genuine midgardsormr leather jacket.”
“It looks better without them,” Prompto says in a small voice, and, really, Ignis agrees, it does look better, and he cannot help but appreciate the sight whenever Prompto wears it. Admitting it would be conceding to Prompto’s ongoing war with sleeves, however, and, if there’s one thing Ignis does not do, it’s concede defeat.

Summary
He wants to know Gladio as deeply as he can, wants to know all the hills and valleys of his body and mind, wants to walk all the trails until they’re second nature to him. He wants to take this opportunity – this chance for intimacy, to just lay here and love and be loved in return – by the horns and ride it out for as long as he can.
He wriggles out from under Gladio’s arm and sits up.
Gladio blinks up at him, goes to push himself up on his elbows. “What – oh.”
“Lie back down,” Prompto says with a grin as he straddles Gladio’s hips.
